Birth of a joey

When one of our raised orphans gives birth for the first time

We rescue and hand raise many joeys each and every year. Once they are mature enough they are released within the fenced 160 ha sanctuary to live a life away from the man made pressures that threaten our wildlife. Vonnie was released almost two years ago and although she lives a totally wild existence she regularly hops out of the bush to visit us but last week it was different. She came out of the bush to give birth beside me. It was such an incredible moment. A special thank you to @hsiaustralia for their support with our exclusion fence, keeping all of our wildlife safe forever. Thank you @dannyharveyharris for your amazing support always and your epic videos! #joeybirth #redneckedwallaby #wildlifecarers #protectedhabitat #forthewildlife
